I'm back, and it's now clear that I need the cold, and perhaps constant stable internet, to be funny. As far as Burning Man goes, awesome. I especially liked this 3D vector field thing done by some UCLA architecture students, great design and well executed. It makes me want to try to do some art installation there next year.
So the tensegrity tent thing, lets just say reality sucks. Pieces deformed under the stress, the cloth itself got shredded in the wind, and its a major pain in the ass to put up something complicated like that in hot sun, high winds, or moonlight.
