There is the new "Jumping the shark" called "Exiting the Holodeck"... it's when Riker exited the holodeck and you realized that in order to save face from the community already complaining about Star Trek's horrible disregard for continuity, they decided to say that NONE OF IT HAPPENED... brains everywhere exploded at the sheer stupidity.
